Our Story

MÈCHE began with a complaint. Wet hair wrapped in a cotton bath towel comes out roughed up, and blow-drying it back to smooth undoes the point of washing it gently in the first place.

So we spent two years on the fabric rather than the label: splitting the filament finer, flattening the face, and settling on 400gsm as the weight where absorbency stops trading against a towel light enough to wear.
